This is the life!

Greetings blog readers!

Sam has done such a wonderful job updating the past couple of days! I guess it is my turn to share my thoughts on the past month or so!

As Sam said, we are soon-to-be homeowners! I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am about this. It has been SUCH a roller coaster ride for us...well, me especially. I guess driving past the house everyday and becoming so emotionally attached was not the best idea I have ever had. Things have not gone smoothly due to the house we want being a short sale, and we were told about 2 weeks ago that we would not be getting it. Then last Friday, kind of out of nowhere, the bank that owns the house changed their mind and accepted our offer. Crazy stuff! You would think I would have learned my lesson, but alas, even though we have not signed paperwork yet, I am back to driving past the house every chance I get. It is quite lovely...built in 2007m 2 bedrooms, and office right off the front door (perfect for teaching lessons!), a walk-in closet, 2 bathrooms (one attached to the master bedroom), and a very open great room/kitchen with vaulted ceilings. Sam is giving up his hope for a basement, but is instead getting a three-car garage. The backyard is the only downfall. It is pretty small, but we have plans for making it an extension of the house for summer use, and it will still be big enough for a dog. :) Which I am also very excited about!

Work is also awesome right now! Sam is enjoying his job more this year, and I am in a long-term sub position for the rest of the school year. It will eventually turn into a .6 contracted position. I LOVE the school, LOVE the principal, and the kids are adorable. I am at an elementary school, doing what I love. It is perfect. The hope would be that it would become a full time job for next year, but if is does not, well...not working full time would certainly be conducive to having kids! ;)

Right now we are house sitting for on of Sam's coworkers, and I am thoroughly enjoying the view through the window. I have a cat cuddling with me on the couch, a dog at my feet, and there is beautiful snow outside, turning the mountains into a painting. Sam and I are living the life right now.

Thanksgiving is just days away...we have MANY blessings to be thankful for this year!!!

House Sitting and THE List

Wow! Two posts in two days! I must be bored! Actually, I am anything but, and I get to hang out with my wife for a few days, which totally rocks my world. We are house sitting in a nice little farm house, surrounded by fresh fallen snow. I am inspired to write, and inspired to plan.

While watching the fourth season of friends, I want to begin something that I have meant to since high school or so....a bucket list. I'll start it and add on as life goes:) There are a lot of things that I have done that would have been on the list, like get married to the girl of my dreams, get a house with her, graduate college, become a music teacher, so I'll continue on.

The view from the house we are staying at:) Can't wait for a hike!
1) Travel to Europe
2) Buy a new car
3) Watch all the seasons of Friends in order
4) Have kids!
5) Bungee jump
6) Sky dive
7) Drive down highway 1 from as North as we can get, in a convertable
8) Buy a project car: 1965 Mustang. Work on car and make perfect (preferably a convertable that     Heather and I can use to drive down highway 1).

This will suffice for now. Now, back to working on #3:)

Have a great day!!!

House and Home:)

I have not been able to blog because the blog gods wouldn't let me. But, alas, here I am.

For the last, oh, two months or so, we have been so busy! I just wrapped up a week of concerts and this next week I have off. I thought I might take some time and blog:)

First things, first. Heather and I will soon have a home! We put in an offer for a house and it was accepted!!!!! It was a short sale so there was a lot of crap to deal with, but here we are. We still haven't finished final paperwork or anything, but the offer is good and we just have to make it official. It will be nice to have a home that we can plan on living in for a while instead of an apartment. Can't wait!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!

Blog working????
